ClearOne Awarded Two New Network Audio-Video Distribution Patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/— ClearOne (NASDAQ: CLRO), a global provider of audio and visual communication solutions, announced today that it has been awarded two new patents related to intelligent network communication devices in an audio-video distribution system.

On November 17, 2015, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO") issued United States Patent number 9,191,231 entitled, Video and Audio Network Distribution System. The '231 patent relates to an audio video distribution system that includes networked audio and video source devices and multiple networked speaker nodes containing a web server and speaker sensors.

Also, on November 17, 2015, the USPTO issued United States Patent number 9,191,232 entitled, Intelligent Network Communication Device in an Audio Video Distribution System. The '232 patent relates to a network speaker node that includes a pre-amplifier, a digital signal processor, and speaker sensors to enhance speaker protection and optimize the audio for that speaker node.

To date, ClearOne has been awarded 66 patents and has an additional 34 patents in application covering innovations in five strategic categories: Audio Signal Processing, Video Conferencing, Multimedia Network Streaming, Wireless, and Industrial Design.
