ClearOne launches Chat 150 at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics ShowSALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)----ClearOne (OTC: CLRO.OB) , the global provider of audio conferencing products, today announced the Company will debut its much-anticipated new Chat 150 audio peripheral as part of their Chat line of personal and group speaker phone products at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from January 8 - 11. The Company will also showcase its award-winning Chat™ 50 at this year's show.

The Chat 150 connects to enterprise telephone handsets, PCs, and video conferencing systems. With the telephone version, customers will now have the ability to add a high-quality, full-duplex speaker phone to their handsets, and still retain the full functionality that comes with today's handsets, including access to company directory, voicemail, audio bridge functions, etc. Since it connects directly to the headset port of the phone, it also eliminates the need to pull additional phone lines into the room, which simplifies installation.

The Chat 150 provides a perfect solution for executive offices and smaller conference rooms. ClearOne will initially offer connectivity to Avaya® handsets, with additional connectivity to other manufacturers' phones to follow.

Designed with ClearOne's state-of-the-art audio technology that delivers unrivaled echo and noise cancellation, full-duplex performance and advanced automatic level management, the Chat 150 features three microphones for a full 360-degree audio pickup, making it perfect for small groups and individuals. Along with the USB and video conferencing versions, the Chat 150 enables the following audio conferencing usage models:

-- Connects to enterprise telephone handsets to turn a handset into a high-quality conference phone

-- Connects to PCs and Macs via USB to enable computer-based audio collaboration with all VoIP applications, including softphones, web-based video conferencing, and IM with chat

-- Connects to video conferencing systems for vastly improved, superior audio quality compared to the built-in speaker and microphone

"ClearOne is known for its high-quality products in the audio conferencing market, and the Chat 150 is yet another addition to our robust product line," said Kurt Olsen, director of product marketing at ClearOne. "We particularly see the telephone version of the Chat 150 as a very compelling solution for the thousands of offices and small conference rooms that currently have only a handset. By adding the Chat 150, users can experience the best of both worlds - full functionality of their handset phone, and hands-free audio performance that rivals any speaker phone on the market."

Also being showcased and demonstrated at CES is ClearOne's award-winning Chat 50 personal audio peripheral, which connects to a wide variety of devices and provides the clearest hands-free audio communications anywhere. The Chat 50 connects to PCs, cell phones, telephone handsets, MP3 players, and video conferencing systems, and delivers unmatched full-duplex capability. The crossover technology in the Chat 50 enables hands-free audio conferencing in new ways that were not previously possible. The device is slightly larger than a deck of cards, and is truly a one-of-a-kind, go-anywhere personal device for conferencing and audio playback.

The Chat 50 is currently available at leading dealers in the U.S. including Hello Direct, PC Mall, Mac Mall,, PC Connection, Mac Connection, CDW, and others. The Chat 150 USB and VC versions are currently available through the same channel; the Chat 150 telephone versions will be available early in 2007, starting with the Avaya model, with others to follow. Both products are also available at dealers in selected countries worldwide.
