ClearOne Solutions Now Rated Avaya CompliantSALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ClearOne (Nasdaq: CLRO, www.clearone.com), the global provider of superior high performance audio conferencing solutions, today announced that its MAX IP and MAXAttach IP conference phones are compliant with key Internet protocol (IP) telephony solutions from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

The ClearOne MAX IP phones enable businesses with Avaya's SIP-based IP telephony systems to easily conduct conference calls that sound natural and crystal clear. The MAX IP is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with IP Office 5.0.

"We are pleased that the MAX IP and MAXAttach IP have received the DevConnect Compliant Award from Avaya," said Tracy Bathurst, CTO at ClearOne. "ClearOne has been a DevConnect member since 2006 when we received compliance certification for our analog conference phones, MAX EX and MAXAttach EX. This recent certification for our SIP-based MAX IP conference phones gives Avaya customers a truly world-class conferencing solution that is easily integrated into IP Office and provides a cost-effective way to leverage their existing communications investment."

ClearOne is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program--an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network.

As a Gold member of the program, ClearOne is able to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure--speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like ClearOne who are members of our DevConnectprogram, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Unified Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available - getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."

The MAX IP conference phones will be exhibited by ClearOne at the 2009 VoiceCon conference and exhibition in San Francisco, California, November 3-4. The conference will be held at the Moscone Convention Center and ClearOne will be in booth #515. ClearOne will also be participating with Avaya as part of their social networking outreach at the show in order to increase awareness of Avaya's partners and their offerings.
